healthy sized with good weight but for starters the keys are smaller than average making it easy to mistype. not being about to turn it off also creates a problem because the trackball will “crawl” without being touched activating a sleeping computer. and since you don’t have an off switch batteries don’t last long. i returned the first one because i thought the trackball was defective only to learn the replacement did the exact same
thing. ok for emergency but i don’t recommend this for daily use

This has good heft, a good feel to it, and is designed to be used while held, unlike many wireless keyboards. There is a difference between a wireless keyboard and a handheld keyboard, and it is all about function, utility, and design. Having all the mouse functions, and some of them duplicated, is extremely useful, with the scroll wheel (which also does the middle key/scroll wheel click) and two mouse buttons on the left, and the trackball with left click button on the right. I had been using a wireless keyboard with a two button trackpad, and scrolling down a webpage with two-finger scrolling was very difficult to do while actually holding the thing in my hands. Drag and drop was simply not possible. This is designed to navigate onscreen simply and easily. The button placement is excellent and the cutouts for the heel of the hand and the shape of the gripping area on the back make it very easy to hold firmly with either hand. The keys don’t feel thin and clicky underneath your fingers, but move easily and firmly, and the keyboard is big enough for two-handed touch typing. It doesn’t feel flimsy or breakable, and everything works well. Having the Print Screen as a primary instead of a function key is extremely useful for me as well; I don’t have to hunt up the Fn key and then look for the dim bluish function alternative just to take a screenshot. The trackball is great, and you can drag and drop with it fairly easily, holding the left hand mouse button while dragging with the ball. The ball seemed loose and fidgety to me at first but I soon saw that if I maintain a firm pressure on the ball I can control the cursor movement very accurately. I am very pleased with this, and would recommend it to anyone who needs a hand-held keyboard.

This is the only keyboard of this type that I could find and it works. It occasionally stops working for a few seconds/minutes, like a bad connection or something. But overall I am happy with it. I do wish it was a full size keyboard. If I have to do any significant typing I switch it out.
The left side mouse part has two buttons on top and a scroll wheel beneath. The right side has a ball on top and a button on the bottom. They are well placed and don’t feel awkward.

Everything on this keyboard works well except the track ball. I have purchased 2 of them and neither has worked. As stated before the keyboard works well, but the track ball will sometimes work well, however, most of the time it is either very slow or will not work at all. It is very frustrating. I mainly work with music production and editing and I find a good track ball works better for me than a mouse. But this track ball is just impossible to use. Even for web browsing it is pretty frustrating. I am going to have to go back to a separate track ball which I had hopped would not be necessary. I cannot recommend this keyboard.

I’ve used two of these over the last couple years, and I don’t want to give it three stars, but really there aren’t any other products of this sort to compare it to: this keyboard/trackball combo appears to be the only thing available in its niche (I’ve seen suspiciously similar keyaboards under a different brand name, but they appear to be the same thing given multiple brand names, and I doubt there’s any significant difference between them.) If there were a better option, I’d gladly rate this lower, but I’ll reluctantly add a star to the rating for being the only keyboard to do all of what this one does right.
Pros aside from being the only option: it seems solid enough on the surface, at least, and generally holds up well to minor incidental abuse such as being dropped on the floor or having things dropped on it – the keyboard in particular seems to be pretty solid, I’ve never had any problems with the keys, other than the lettering printed on the keys wearing off (which is, in my experience, normal for keyboards under heavy enough use.) The ergonomics are excellent – it is NOT a full-sized keyboard, but it’s close, and I can comfortably touch-type on it with my large hands after a short time of getting used to the size after a couple months. The trackball and its buttons/scroll-wheel are well-placed and comfortable and easy to use, again after a couple early months of “breaking it in” to get used to it as my first trackball. It all feels natural to use now. The weight and size and features are perfect for what I use it for: a “lap-top” keyboard to use while sitting in a recliner and using my TV as a computer monitor.
Cons? Oh, that’s where the frustration kicks in! It costs too much for what it is, to start with – at half this price, I’d feel better about the three-star rating I give it. Even that wouldn’t be a problem, though, and I’d gladly rate it higher, if it weren’t for the bigger problem: that trackball just seems to wear out too quickly! Sometimes, changing the batteries is enough to help, but the bigger problem seems to be that it catches dust and lint too easily, resulting in a pointer that alternates between “jumpy”, “slow”, and just straying off into the wrong direction at times until cleaned, and over the longer haul, the optical tracking just stops working well altogether, while cleaning does less and less to help. After a few months, the trackball develops a sort of “gritty” feel as it rolls in its socket, as if the bearings are sticking, but no amount of cleaning seems to help. The pointer seems to develop an annoying “shake” to it that gets worse and worse over time, but sometimes goes away – I haven’t quite figured out what causes that. Taking the trackball apart to clean it exposes the bearings to a risk of falling out of their little sockets, and disappearing, because the sockets don’t seem to fit too well – I bought a little packet of replacement bearings for that reason, and have had to replace lost bearings a few times over the last year or so, but after a while the fit is so loose that it’s an exercise in futility. The trackball buttons get a little “mushy” after a while, too. And it’s not like I’m really rough on this equipment, either – I’ve dropped it a time or two, but I’m the only user and I usually take pretty good care of things – a family with kids is bound to see one of these keyboards tear up much more quickly!
So, I’ve no complaints about the keyboard portion of this device, but the trackball portion is comfortable to use and very ergonomic, but is structurally the weak link in this keyboard, making it difficult to use the keyboard longer than several months before the trackball becomes unusable, defeating the purpose of buying this device, especially at this price.
If “Banalove” (one of the countless front names for the Chinese Communist Party, apparently) could sort out the limitations on that trackball, this might actually be a recommendable product. Or, better yet, if someone in a free country could manufacture a better keyboard/trackball of this sort – something built to last – at even twice this price, I’d gladly go with that competitive product instead of this “Banalove” keyboard, and would happily drop the rating on this product accordingly. But, when this thing is my only option….

For several years now I’ve been using the wireless touchpad keyboards and it’s been a nightmare. Lags, totally unresponsive, the keys don’t work on some of them like the vol up and down key. I’ve been using this one for about 2 weeks and it’s the cat’s meow! Smooth and totally responsive keys are arranged excellently on both sides I just found out much to my amazement. It uses batteries so I don’t have to charge it every couple days I’m extremely happy with it.
