This is the fourth mouse I bought like this to have a matching set up in difficulty work locations. Overall happy with it and interfaces well with PCs

Works great with an 27-inch iMac. I have been using this in the office with the Windows 7 and the MS ergonomic split keyboard. The keyboard is definitely an acquired taste and a learning curve. But the mouse is great on day 2 and thereafter. Love the feel and the accuracy. It’s not dainty. Good for medium and large hands. So I bought another Sculpt ergonomic mouse for the iMac at home. Replaced a big (sadly) failing Logitech mouse that we both loved. The MS Sculpt mouse works well. When the (rechargeable) batteries get low, the mouse behaves badly but does not stop working. Replacing with freshly charged batteries cures the issue entirely. We have replaced the battery once at home since it was new. The MS ergonomic keyboard and sculpt mouse seem to be super efficient battery-wise.
At home I knock this mouse off the keyboard tray once in a while because it is a bit taller than the Logitech mouse. It hits carpet and seems to be none the worse.
7/16/17 – Still happily using them both. The mouse works best if the dongle is less than 18 inches away. I have the dongle in a USB hub. The hub and its cables are ugly. When I hide the USB hub with the dongle attached too far behind iMac, the cursor gets jumpy. I always think it is a low battery, but it’s not.

It is the second mouse of that type I’ve purchased. I do not remember how long the previous one lasted (about one year and a half – two years?) and then stopped working (the blue light at the bottom oh the mouse blinked like crazy).
Unfortunately after my previous MS ergonomic mouse I can not use others any more – they do not feel comfortable enough for my palm or wrist. I tried everything that was on shelves in Staples even these for $99.99 (just put my palm on one after another without purchasing). I am not fan of any brand and I had some Logitech mouses in the past and one Chinese no-name ergonomic mouse purchased here on Amazon.
In between my MS ergonomic mouses I used another MS mouse I’ve used long before and I start feeling some inconvenience in my wrist, but I got used to it.
When my new mouse arrived I even felt some mixed senses as if I do not like it any more, but in one week of using this new mouse I noticed I do not feel inconvenience in my wrist (with all mouses I use the same mouse pad with wrist cushion).
My palm is not big. I am 5’4″t all, for my husband of 6′ tall this mouse is small. I am not a gamer, so I can not tell about is it good or bad mouse for gaming. I do not use this blue Window button, rarely use Back button – I think this button is more convenient on MS Mobil mouse 4000 (this one I used between ergonomic mouses).
For me this is good ergonomic mouse.

Beats using a traditional mouse, and perfect for my palm size. The transmitter is larger than the keyboard’s and would prefer using a single transmitter for both. Not too much of info available online about this, but yet to install the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard center.

This mouse really deserves five stars, but I am struggling with giving it that rating.
This mouse is super comfortable, with the vertical orientation leaving your hand in a natural position as you use it. I’ve never had wrist or hand problems, but still I notice the positive difference in fatigue when I use this mouse. The mouse is very accurate, and the large glide surface makes it feel like it’s floating across the desk. The buttons give great tactile feedback, and the wheel scrolls easily with the steps easy to stop on and easy to scroll from. This could be the most perfect mouse I’ve ever used, and is such a pleasure to use I bought one for home, too.
So why the five-star struggle? This mouse is tall. Very tall compared to the mice I’ve used over the past 30 years. So tall, in fact, that occasionally (at least it’s no longer frequently like when I first received it) when I reach for the mouse, I knock it off my desk. After so many years computing, and reaching for the mouse becoming a mindless activity, I’m so used to a mouse being a certain height, I simply don’t reach high enough. So, the side of my hand bangs into the mouse, sending it flying (since the non-friction surface works so well). More often than not when this happens, the bottom cover pops off and the batteries come out. Of course, they never fall next to the mouse – no, I’m crawling on my hands and knees looking under chairs and desks.
When I do this at the office it’s a minor annoyance, since I have carpeted floors there. At home I have hardwood, and the mouse takes a beating when it falls. So much so that the wheel no longer works. I’m going to have to replace it, but this mouse is so great that I’m going to buy another one. But if I break it again, I may need to look elsewhere, just for my wallet’s sake.

I have carpal tunnel syndrome and I use a microsoft ergonomic keyboard at work. I had a regular mouse and it bothered me so someone told me to try a logitech ergonomic mouse. So I did about 8 months ago. It was better than my regular mouse. But now my hands, bicep and shoulder hurts. So I bought an ergonomic mouse from an uknown brand because of the reviews and price. I tried it the other day and after 5 min. I felt a pain in my palm I never had before so I am returning it. I also bought this mouse based on the reviews and the fact that I use a microsoft ergonomic keyboard at work for over a decade and it’s great! So I have used this today 7/30/24 for the first time at work wondering how it will be…..It is great! The pain in the shoulder is gone, the pain the bicep is gone and the hand. I came home and i’ve been using the old logitech ergonomic mouse and guess what? My hand bothers me already after an hour. I like this microsoft mouse so much I’m buying another one as I write this review. Below is my confirmation of my 2nd purchase of this microsoft mouse that I just bought the other day here on Amazon.
Order placed, thanks!

Solid, but expensive

This mouse has a moderate ergonomic design allowing the wrist and hand to rest at a gentle angle (approximately 45 degrees as opposed to 90 degrees on other ergonomic mice). It has a higher profile and is slightly larger than a standard mouse but is not bulky or awkward in appearance. For this reason and to complement its ergonomic value, a mouse pad that has a wrist rest is recommended. The mouse functions very well and I am pleased with this purchase.
