With a public speaking opportunity coming up, I wanted to improve my webcam game. I found myself testing a lot of different cameras out—2K quality, 4K quality—and after a lot of looking, I finally found my camera. What really puts this over the edge are the bevy of options available, as well as the software quality. Being able to adjust zoom angle—sort of an Achilles’ heel of other 4K cameras—was not a problem with the OBSBOT.
Obviously this is not to the level of, say, a DSLR, but it is well above many other cameras of its type. One major thing that helps it a lot is the quality of the software (which is, yes, available for Mac). You can tweak more granular things like ISO with this camera, as well as being able to zoom at a variety of angles. I tend to prefer a tighter angle, which this excels at.
If I had to make one recommendation to OBSBOT around this camera—make the stand more rigid. It should not move when I’m simply trying to adjust the camera, and because it does it makes it harder to maintain the same position. (On the plus side, the pan/tilt/zoom functions of the camera help with this.)
I will say that you’re on your own for lighting with this one so be sure to get a ring light or something of similar quality. But I think that if you’re doing a lot of Zoom calls, this will go a long way to updating any desktop setup.
Spend the extra money and get something good. I highly recommend this.

This is a great webcam. It’s got good quality video, it’s easy to setup, and most importantly it doesn’t hide any settings from you.
Tell me, what’s easier?…
Setting the zoom to hide any clutter you have in your room, or cleaning up the clutter?
Setting the white balance, or repainting your room so the camera doesn’t get confused?
Setting the camera’s iso, or setting up studio lights?
Most other cameras hide these important settings from you because they don’t want to “confuse” you. But what they’re really doing is forcing you to adjust -to the camera-. But not the Obsbot Meet, it gives you all the settings you need to adjust the camera -to you-.
There are, however, a few minor drawbacks:
1- The camera gets warm, even while in “sleep” mode. This means it’s drawing a bit of power.
2- The microphone isn’t the best, but it’s not the worst either.
3- When I first plugged it in, it took 20 minutes to update the firmware
4- It uses a USB 2 connection. Meaning, all your video will be compressed, and there is an ever so slight delay. Still, it doesn’t look bad.
5- I couldn’t get the auto-tracking working. It just zoomed out to maximum.
When I got it, I thought I’d use the HDR mode, but then didn’t. If you don’t want to go through careful setup HDR does make it a little easier, but if you play with it a little, you’ll get better results without it, meaning the HDR probably isn’t the best (but it’s not bad).
I don’t know much about photography, but the interface made it easier enough to figure everything out.
I find it a little ironic that OBS is a program most streamers use, called “Open Broadcast Software.” It’s used crop, tweak, and color correct. But this “OBS”-bot camera includes enough of that on it’s own so that you don’t have to use OBS.
It’s smaller than I expected. I’m guessing it’s only as big as it needs to be. I like the look of it a lot. Stylish without drawing attention to itself. And the attachable privacy flap is great, since you don’t have to worry about losing it.

Great low light performance. Seems to require its own software to run, though my testing was limited. Very small, gets quite hot quickly. Seems well made. This camera is worth it for the performance. Does some AI things on its own like zooming in and out, which is clever and works well.

Excellent camera for 4K video recording/streaming. However, you will need a beefy computer. But, for whatever reason, if I record in 1080P then there are many audio artifacts (clicks) introduced in the recorded videos. Probably a driver or codec issue. Not sure. But in 4K it is absolutely wonderful, which is what I bought it for anyway. Highly recommended. The many video AI features included in the downloadable software are absolutely great for streamers and remote workers. Very flexible. Great low light performance.

Support très pratique: magnétique, donc pas de vis à serrer, très facile à orienter et à placer. Conception astucieuse qui s’adapte à tous les écrans. Seul le petit rebord de la face avant dépassera un peu sur l’écran des moniteurs récents à bords fins, comme sur mon MSI par exemple.
La caméra est lourde, car en métal en partie, pour se fixer au support.
Le logiciel est bien fait, même si sur ma machine, il plante la première fois qu’on le lance et qu’on allume la caméra. Il faut le relancer, et là, plus de problème! Curieux, mais cela fonctionne ensuite. Espérons qu’une mise à jour corrigera cela plus tard.
Les filtres sont là pour les accros de TikTok, Youtube et autres instagram, qui seront ravis de montrer leur faux visage au monde entier. Personnellement, je trouve cela trop artificiel, donc mon visage avec ses défauts, c’est parfait. Ceux qui ne sont pas contents de cela, eh bien, tant pis! 😁
Le cadrage automatique sur votre beau visage fonctionne très bien, et vous serez toujours sur l’image, jusqu’à un certain point, bien entendu!
La led blanche indique que la caméra est active, le blanc clignotant, qu’elle est en cours d’activation, le jaune clignotant, que la mise à jour est en cours, le rouge clignotant, que la mise à jours a échoué.
Les 2 micros sur les côtés sont assez sensibles, et captent très bien les sons. La fonction atténuation du bruit semble fonctionner correctement, même si ce ne sera jamais parfait.
Le bouton du dessus permet entre autre de mettre la caméra en veille en appuyant 3 secondes dessus. Un clic permet d’activer le floutage du fond, derrière vous, et cela fonctionne assez bien, je dois l’avouer. Le niveau de floutage est réglable dans l’application OBSBOT à télécharger.
Bref, une bonne caméra en 1080p, qui n’a rien à envier aux autres marques plus connues et plus chères également, notamment une certaine marque suisse très connue pour ses périphériques.
Le seul bémol pour moi, elle a tendance à chauffer, car toute fermée, sans ouvertures d’aération, ce qui semble être la mode. Le design, c’est important, mais la durée dans le temps aussi. Ce sera un point à voir sur la durée.
Les vidéo en 1080p 30FPS produisent, avec le logiciel de la caméra, des .mkv d’environ 16 mbps, et en 60 FPS, à peu près le double. La qualité est donc tout à fait acceptable.

This camera is incredibly easy to set up, and the video quality is excellent! You can download the OBSBOT Center from their website to edit or enhance the webcam’s performance. My favorite features are the beauty mode, motion tracking, and background blur settings, which work seamlessly.
However, there are a few drawbacks. The camera tends to get quite hot during prolonged use. When used on a laptop, the video display is initially delayed and sluggish, though I managed to improve its performance by adjusting the settings. Additionally, the camera shuts off if the connected USB cable is accidentally bumped, which can be frustrating.
Despite these issues, this camera is a great choice for beginners, whether you’re using it for streaming or Zoom meetings.

Ich bin mit der OBSBOT Meet KI-Betriebene Webcam 4K absolut zufrieden.
Die Einstellmöglichkeiten mit der entsprechenden kostenlosen Software vom Hersteller sind besser als bei den meisten anderen Kameras, ebenso die Bedienfreundlichkeit der Software.
Das Bild ist scharf, Autofokus funktioniert und selbst die Spielerei mit dem Hintergrundentfernen bzw. durch ein Bild zu tauschen funktioniert gut.
Die Halterung lässt sich sehr gut an den Bildschirm anpassen und das man die Kamera jederzeit von der Halterung herunter nehmen kann, gefällt mir sehr gut.
Neben der Kamera, der Halterung und dem USB-C Anschlusskabel sind außerdem noch ein , USB-C auf USB-A Adapter, eine Abdeckung mit klappe für die Kameralinse und ein kleiner Beutel( Falls man die Kamera abnehmen will ) mit dabei.

Overall, the product is of good quality. The camera looks decent, but compared to other cameras in the same price range, it doesn’t match up in quality and doesn’t even come close. During my use, I encountered several issues with the app connection. When using it with Discord or Teams, I often had to recreate the settings as they wouldn’t stay saved in the app. Because of this, I wasn’t very pleased with the product, especially considering its price.
