60FPS is the reason why the N660P is a great deal. If you don’t see or need the benefit of 60 FPS, then you should probably look for a cheaper 1080p/30FPS webcam. Who would benefit from 60fps? I’d say anyone who uses their webcam for presentations, especially if you are using your arms or full body. Teachers and [amateur] Youtubers would definitely benefit from the increased clarity during movement.
At the time of buying, this camera was half the price of a comparable Logitech, so you do get what you pay for when it comes to build quality and packaging. But in terms of its features, it makes the Logitech look like a complete rip off.
You get a simple box with the camera knocking around and a user guide. The webcam is plug and play with Windows 10 and appears as the NexiGo N660P without any need for additional drivers or software. The cam is light with cheap plastic and chrome accents, but it does not look cheap or feel fragile – you shouldn’t be touching it that much anyway. The 360 swivel is nice and stiff and my only complaint is that it doesn’t aim up/down very far. It has a tripod mount but does not come with one. The sliding privacy clip is a nice addition and is cut out to match the shape of the lens. The monitor mount is simple and is where most of the product’s weight comes from. Once mounted, the cam can slide across the top of your screen – I see this as a positive to make it easy to shift the camera’s position. The mount was too large for my bezel-less monitor; I solved this by placing a small stack of post-it notes under the mount to reduce its length by about 5mm.
The video quality is good overall and what you should expect at this price. It definitely looks nicer than some $40 webcams I’ve seen. The camera is sharp at 1080p but not without noise. 60FPS is easy to enable and subtly aids in clarity. Out of box colours are on the green side. The auto-focus is usually snappy but I have caught it taking 5 seconds or so to refocus on my face. Video quality can definitely be improved with additional software and good lighting. Microphone quality is acceptable for calls but nothing beyond that. The mic required additional boost adjustment in Windows microphone properties.
5 stars because not only have I not found anything else at this price range with the same quality and features, but I’m actually not disappointed in deciding to spend the extra cash on this over cheaper alternatives.

The auto focus was not good the video and picture quality is always blurry. I checked for a protective plastic film on the lens. There was none. The picture turned out with a reddish color, so the auto color balance is not working. I am using regular soft white LED lighting. I was just trying to save a couple of bucks here by buying this one.

I’ve been using an old HP webcam for years. I don’t even know what the specs were on it as far as resolution of frames per second. The picture was OK as long as you didn’t move, but with any motion at all, the video was very streaky and choppy. I’ve been doing more Zoom calls lately so decided I needed something more up to date. I was thinking of going Logitech but saw the different NexiGo webcams online and the mostly favorable reviews so thought I’d give it a shot.
Boy, what a difference! To me the picture is awesome, very clear and any motion is quite smooth. Autofocus works perfectly fine for my needs and you can adjust, resolution/fps, brightness and auto or manual focus. It has a lens cover that you just slide over for privacy and dual microphones. The clip works very well either sitting atop my monitor or I have a small tripod that I can use that screws into the camera’s bracket. Installation was plug and play so I was up and running in less than a minute.
I ordered on Amazon and got free Prime delivery the same day which was pretty awesome. At this price point, I don’t see how one could do any better. I’m thinking of ordering another one and sending it to my parents in CA so I can do video calls with them from here in TX. They’re not tech oriented at all but with the plug and play ease, I’m pretty sure I can get them set up over the phone.
