My new favorite computer. If you know what you are doing (like with most computers), it is a powerful tool. I use it along with the Flex keyboard to get ‘real’ work done that I couldn’t on an iPad. I am a developer so that includes coding and managing cloud stuff. The screen is great minus the weird grain you get with high brightness level white screens. The speakers sound good and the webcam looks great. I think it is a great value for the price I got it.
It’s not an iPad, but for me it is something better. Overall it is a well built, portable computer.

If you are in the photobooth industry, and you offer printed copies of the photos taken by your software, DO NOT buy this tablet for your booth. While it is a great tablet, because it uses a Snapdragon processor, it will not install any of the most popular printers such as DNP, HITI, Canon, etc. You must purchase tablets that use an Intel processor such as an I5 or I7 in order to install the print drivers.

Many apps aren’t designed for ARM at this point. So many of them will work, but not at the full potential. At times mouse clicks don’t register. I noticed this on my Surface at work also. Weird charging cable that I’m guessing is some proprietary nonsense. The surface pen was an absolute joke. A cheaper third party pen worked better on this tablet. Good speakers. Nice display. Adding the new keyboard will cost you a lot of $$$. I want to like Surface products. I’ve owned the studio laptop and this tablet and returned both of them. They just seem half baked and priced at a premium for what you get.

I’ve been using the Surface tablets since the Surface 2 tablet, and while you expect each generation to be better than the previous, this one is miles above the Surface Pro 7 I was using.
Pros – Battery life. This area was always the big issue with me in the Surface Pro line. They always stated that you could get 6-8 hours without charging, but I was lucky to get 2. This goes and goes for hours without being on a charger. As I’m frequently in the field without being able to plug in, this has been fantastic. The new Snapdragon processor that they are using is very fast. No hangups at all while working, watching videos, etc.
Con – the only con I could find is that while the Snapdragon processor is fast and very energy efficient, there are some apps, such as VPN apps that do not work on it yet. The Microsoft Office suite works great as you would expect, but your mileage may vary with others.

so far it works great. I didn’t have it for that long. I will have to review my comment later on

I bought this PC because I wanted a 2-and-1 but nothing cheap for work and I did NOT want a MacBook. So far I’m blown away. I work as a life coach so between toggling between documents, video chatting with clients, finding material for coaching sessions I have alot to do. At once. This surface has surpassed my expectations and then some.
Pro: what’s not to love? Easy to use, amazing screen and picture, battery is great, value is incredible! Quality is unmatched.
Con: Wishing it came with either the pen or key board (or both). While looking at post I would have thought it did but you have to carefully look and read where it says “sold separately”. Just make sure you get some sort of keyboard! Pen is optional but it’s always good to have.

My SP9 and pro keyboard broke and I replaced it with a SP11 and the new Flex Keyboard.
They work so well together! I don’t use CoPilot, so I was not sure it would be that much better, but this is far and above the SP9 as the Flex is also far above the Pro!!

Specific ARM64 software is required.
I am using this for work and study. The battery life is incredible compared to legacy Microsoft architecture machines. There are some things that regular consumers need to know before buying these devices. Major software developers such as Microsoft, Google and some VPNs work well, others do not. You may want to do some research. They are Microsoft ARM 64 machines so legacy x86 and x64 software will not work. Some adjustments need to be made. Microsoft has just made this move in the last few years so it will take a while for smaller 3rd party software companies to catch up.
The OLED screen is bright and looks great.

Had trouble deciding if I wanted a laptop or a tablet. Now I have both. Works great.

I am an digital artist that always wanted an all-in-one solution, and I think this was the best choice I’ve made in my life, but there is just one problem here.
I mainly use Google Drive and other apps to store files for drawing, but the Surface Pro is its own special Microsoft device and won’t recognize Google Drive for desktop, so it could not download certain apps people use for everyday tasks. If apps you want to use do not support ARM versions or maybe not for Surface Pro, then I do not recommend buying the Surface Pro (other than that, everything is on the top for performance and design, features and everything🙌❤️)
The pen is so smooth and accurate, first time using it but it was great for taking notes and any artist work.
The design is beautiful and outstanding, totally worth the high price if downloading specific non-Microsoft apps isn’t a problem for you ^^
