Good webcam for every day conference calls. Auto focus works well, so does auto light exposure, but the microphone sounds a echoey. I use a separate headset with mic, and use the webcam as a backup mic.
This unit is not recognized by Logitech’s own Capture app and therefore you lose access to many features in the app such as zoom, white balance, text overlay, and most importantly, resolution (1080p, 720p, 360p) and fps (24, 25, 30). This unit is very similar if not identical to 920s HD Pro which works perfectly with the Capture app. It just feels like the app should support both 920s and 920e but it’s not the case.
There’s also a separate Logitech Camera Settings app which allows you to configure zoom/pan, field of view (widescreen or standard), color, brightness etc. This app is a mess. The GUI doesn’t accurately reflect the settings you configure. For example, I can use the arrow keys to pan left/right/up/down and the zoom slider to adjust my field or view, but this is not reflected in the live webcam image in the app. You can only see the result of what you configured after you close/save Camera Settings and open another productivity app (Zoom, Teams, Google), which means back and forth trial-and-error. What a terrible workflow! To be fair this seems to be an issue with the app not the camera, as it’s the same behaviour with other Logitech webcams. I’m using Windows app build 2.12.20.0 on Windows 10.
When it comes to working from home and using a solid/reliable webcam, I trust Logitech hardware. However, the multiple, confusing, messy, and buggy app ecosystem leaves something more to be desired.

I recently purchased a Logitech C920e HD Mic-Enabled Webcam to go with a new ASUS desktop computer running Windows 11… I was having compatibility problems with my old Logitech webcam, so I decided to treat myself to a new Logitech webcam… After some research, I landed on the Logitech C920e HD Webcam, as it fulfilled all my requirements and more… After browsing for one at several electronics stores, I ended up ordering one from Amazon due to the stores asking price of $120 versus Amazon’s $62 dollars – a 50% savings…!!! It works great and is easy to install – very user-friendly – even for someone like me, who’s unfamiliar/unskilled with most things technical…!!! In doing my research, I learned of the Logitech C920e Webcam’s numerous functions and features – (1) 2 microphones in stereo, instead of one, so there’s no need for an external microphone… (2) A nice, snap-on privacy shutter/lid that provides you with privacy when you want it… (3) A blue indicator-light lets you know when it’s on and operating… (3) A tripod mount for a 1/4″-20 or a 3/8″-16 screw gives you added versatility/portability… (4) A built-in motion sensor allows you to use it as a security camera… (5) Great camera functions with a manual focus slide gives you excellent photo results… (6) A Video Recorder – 1080x30fps for high-resolution videos with Automatic Light Correction & Auto-Focus included… (7) A 78-degree Field of View (FOV) for exceptional wide-view videos… (8) A high-quality glass lens for extremely clear/sharp photos and videos versus a cheaper plastic lens… (9) 3 Megapixels for great high-resolution images… (10) A detachable cable which is convenient… (11) It is compatible with Windows/Apple IOS/Chrome/ Mac OS X… Since I take my review photos with the Logitech C920e Webcam, it has proven itself to be easy-to-use and very proficient… I am very happy with its performance, affordability, and audio quality when talking to friends, overall… Highly recommended…!!!
