My Idea Pad Flex 5 is only two years and two months old; two months out of Costco’s warranty. The hinge is causing problems with the screen’s pixels and pulling the screen apart.
In the past twenty years I’ve used nine different laptops – this is the *only* one I’ve encountered with mechanical problems. This laptop is Chinese crap! Get a better-quality laptop! (HP has a better hinge system that runs across the width of the screen – and my wife’s Apple lasted ten years.)

I like the computer; it has what I wanted; it arrived on time. But when I tried to register the warranty the day after I received the computer, it said the computer warranty had already expired. So either the computer was used or it was stored a long time and is old. Be aware if you buy from this company, there’s a good chance you will not have any warranty at all.
