I needed something to do college assignments and didn’t know much about chromebooks but decided to give them a shot. I chose this one due to the price and the amount of memory and storage. After a week of using it I must say that I like it. Its not overloaded with BS software that I’m never going to use. It does what I need it to do. I love the simplicity of it which is very refreshing. It powers right up and shuts right off with no wait or lag. This one didn’t show as much battery life as others, but so far there is plenty. Its actually impressive how long the damn thing works without a charge. I’ve played simple games with no issues. I like the functionality and shortcuts. Also its google, so there are tons of features on the google platform that you can use. I have an iphone but can still have my itunes library on this chromebook. I would definitely recommend this one to anybody looking to get a chromebook.

I am very pleased with my purchase. This is a gift for my 9 year old son for his reward in his school grades. The load is fast and smoothe, and the keyboard feels very good on the fingertips making typing a breeze. I also like how simple it is to use for my son so he can do his school research on his own and look up things for his school work. The only thing I would have to say off putting about the keyboard is the search button is on the left side of the board, where your pinky can accidentally hit it when typing vigorously for fast typers. Other than that I am very happy with this purchase and my son is too.

I mean, it’s a chromebook. I love using chromebooks just because it’s simple. Seems sturdy enough, i’m not tech expert but I use this computer for school and writing and it works fine. Does have trouble connecting to Wi-Fi but from what I can tell thats fixable and just a chromebook issue. I believe the price went up since I bought it which I wouldn’t pay more then what I did but I still like it.

I bought this for my grandma and 4 years latter it is still going strong, and let me tell you, that is no easy feat. She uses her laptop everyday all day long for email, Facebook, videos, etc. She basically lives on this thing while she is awake. it was a great buy and I will be buying her another one when this one dies.

I love the idea of Chromebooks – I simplified, browser-based operating system that runs well on less expensive hardware. The problem is, the screen is the most expensive part of the laptop. Chromebooks get by with less RAM memory, and smaller hard drives, but those don’t seem to bring down the price enough. To make these things cost effective, they need to use cheap screens. If you find a Chromebook with a really nice screen, it probably costs as much as a full Windows laptop.
Having said that, this Chromebook runs great and has been perfect for me wife who enjoys the simplified, no frills experience.

I LOVE this Chromebook. I am a ‘computer expert’ and have set up thousands of computers for people professionally and privately over the years and I love my very expensive Windows laptops that I do my Photoshop and video editing on. I bought this as a gift for someone and decided to buy one for myself as well. Oh my god this thing is designed so brilliantly, so easy to set up, so easy to navigate, so easy to configure, so easy to figure out, so user friendly. Chromebooks are excellent for everyday stuff, web surfing, YouTube, Facebook, etc. I’ve used my Chromebook exclusively for several days now and haven’t missed anything on my Windows laptop. I was afraid a Chromebook was going to feel more like a tablet, but it works and feels like a traditional laptop. Some things I love about this over traditional laptops, is #1, this is a real LAP-top, meaning, I can put it in my lap without blocking the fan or vents and causing it to overheat like Windows machines. I can set it on my bed without having to put a hard surface underneath it to keep the air vents open. This doesn’t overheat. I plugged my peripherals in and they worked instantly, my wireless mouse, my external drives, my printer. I haven’t tested the wireless printing yet but it looks easy enough to set up. The battery charges quickly and lasts forever compared to my Windows machines. I love that just signing in with my Google account, all my bookmarks, passwords and everything loads instantly exactly how I like it. The touchpad also is really great, the gestures are very easy to learn and intuitive, and I usually avoid using a touchpad but have found this very easy. 1 finger as a mouse, 2-finger to scroll up or down, 2-finger sideways does page forward or page back, and I set up a 3-finger tap to duplicate the middle ‘scroll’ wheel button on a traditional mouse.
I also love how easy and quickly it is to ‘reset’ this machine if something goes wrong etc. Reformatting a hard-drive on a Windows machine is always an undertaking, loading the software, re-configuring everything, loading the hundreds and hundreds of Windows updates, I’ve done that literally a million times, and with the Chromebook, just to do the ‘Powerwash’ in the Settings and have it returned to the factory settings like it was new, so easy. Sign back and and boom everything is there. Chrome keeps itself up-to-date in the background. I’ve done a ‘Powerwash’ a few times just to test it out, love it.
This is now my everyday laptop, I will still pull out my super-duper-expensive Windows laptop when I need to do Photoshop, but this is perfect for everything else. I love this price point for an everyday machine like this.

Hi, this is a great chromebook for the price. Quick to load pages, good sound, fairly good screen and no complications in starting up or connecting to wifi. It’s solid enough for all the basic needs: essay writing, letters, e-mail, youtubes and movies. Connects flawlessly to Google Drive and apps. Not as many bells and whistles as my IPad (2017 model) or older ASUS chromebook (2015) , but it’s what any adult or college student needs–reliability and simplicity.
