Great monitor at its price point. True black looks amazing and the color quality is much better than my last monitor. No issues with burn in so far. Just allow time for pixel cleaning/maintenance and enjoy!

What do I like about the XG27AQDMG?
• Value for Money: For the price, you’re getting a top-tier gaming monitor with insane performance. It’s sleek, well-built, and packed with premium features.
• Build Quality: Feels rock solid. The stand is sturdy with little to no wobble, and the overall design is clean and modern. The bezels are super thin, making for an immersive experience, especially in a multi-monitor setup.
• Screen Quality: Absolutely stunning. The OLED panel delivers deep blacks, vibrant colors, and outstanding contrast. The 240Hz refresh rate makes everything buttery smooth, whether you’re gaming or just scrolling. The 0.03ms response time eliminates ghosting, making it perfect for fast-paced games. Colors are near-perfect right out of the box—no need for heavy calibration.
• Performance: This monitor is a beast. Everything from casual browsing to competitive gaming feels flawless. No motion blur, no screen tearing (thanks to G-Sync & FreeSync compatibility), just pure smoothness.
Thermals: Even though it’s OLED, ASUS did a great job with heat management. The monitor stays cool even during long gaming sessions, and there’s no noticeable burn-in thanks to smart screen protection features.

I don’t know much about the newer monitors on the market but as someone who used to have a 60hz 1080p monitor, I have been blown away by the smoothness and picture quality of this monitor. Let’s just say I won’t be changing the monitor any time soon. It may seem a little on the dim side at first, but you can change the brightness, saturation, and contrast to fit your idea of a perfect picture. I stick with the presents that come with the included software (DisplayWidgetCenter). I mainly use FPS preset which will set the monitor to peek brightness, allowing me to examine my environment without losing to the shadows. For everything else I use HDR, which dims the monitor and gives greater contrast to darker images. I have never seen anything so crips outside of my oled iPhone. Overall, a great monitor with easy to use settings, which includes and oled care function. If you have not owned an OLED and are looking, this monitor is a great choice.

I had this for a few weeks and everything looks amazing. However, about a month after purchase, the monitor will detect HDMI and Display port but nothing is displayed on screen. What a piece of junk. It should simply be plug and play but this one is going to cause you issues. Don’t take it just from me, do a quick internet search for this part number and look at all the issues that plague this unit.

First OLED monitor and I’m incredibly impressed. They are finally affordable enough to try, and glad I got this one. Materials seem sturdy.

This has to be one of the clearest screens I’ve ever known. I was skeptical at first because allot of people were saying stuff was wrong. but when i tell you this is a new breathe of fresh air. I used to own an ips 240hz monitor and somehow this feels faster and i think its due to the 0.03 MS response times. i can never go back now

excellent monitor 2k oled 240hz and the glossy coding really make the image crisp and make the colors pop I was afraid from the glossy coding but I am glad I took this one over the matte coding it’s perfect with a light controlled environment.

If you absolutely have to have adaptive sync, this one is not for you. It flickers badly with both AMD and Nvidia cards with Freesync turned on. I prefer it off, and I do not have any flickering. I love the glossy screen, although its not quite as good as my LG based 48″ 4K OLED its pretty close. Text kerning/fringing can be an issue, but honestly it isn’t any worse looking than my IPS 1440P monitors that have greasy matte coatings, so its six in one hand half dozen in the other.
Smoothness and motion clarity along with response time are through the roof, as expected from a 240hz OLED. I have used the 360hz QD-OLED panels and I did not like it at all, it had terrible color banding and the text was awful.
The other negative is burn-in, this monitor accumulates very quickly. Just a couple of days of use and you can see the edges of things burnt in, but I just run the pixel refresh and it goes back to normal in 5 minutes. I wish there was a setting to have it run every time you shut the screen off like my other OLED.

What kinda gun is this? It’s like, super awesome to use! The pics are dope, colors poppin’, and it runs super smooth—total A+!

Been using this for two days now and everything is great. I have a dual Xeon workstation and gaming PC connected via KVM. After I got everything hooked up I maxed out the refresh rate at 240 Hz. Right off the bat I got really bad flickering, like multiple flickers per second and only happened at 240Hz. Fortunately, the problem was with my DP cable. Even though it was a Dp 1.4 it just couldn’t support that high of a signal. Bought a new one. switched it out, and everything is great.
Now, if you were like me I hesitated because my monitor is shared for work and play. I didn’t know how bad the text would be considering how that is not a strong suit. The text isn’t as sharp as my previous monitor but not a big deal at all. As a matter of fact, I am already used to it and don’t think about it anymore.
The blacks on this thing is absolutely amazing. The colors are so vibrant and rich and gaming looks so much better, even compared to a non OLED 4k monitor.
The one thing that I was not too thrilled about is the auto dimming feature. If I switched from my desktop to MS word, you would see some minor dimming. I found out this is part of the built-in screen saving options. Not sure which ones so I turned them all off. I am not overly worried about burn-in. If it happens then I will use my 3-year warranty. By the way, make sure you register the monitor on Asus’s site.
Now, add this to your cart and check out.

Feedback after 130 hrs screen on time:
9/10 screen for the price (500£ on Black Friday)
1440p 240 Hz (180 Hz on a 10-bit colour over DP)
Indiana Jones was the first game I tried it on (I was blown away with immersion especially in the caves of Vatican where you walk with torch)
The vibrancy of colours is next level, tested games like Borderlands 3, Psychonauts 2, GTA Vice City Remastered, STALKER 2. Colours pop like crazy. My GF says she heard more compliments from me towards this monitor when I’m playing than she ever heard from me towards her 🥹. Did not experience OLED flickering, the only thing was dirty screen effect on a grayscale image at +80% (vertical lines across all the screen) could see this everywhere for the first couple of days. Eventually after couple of screen pixel clear cycles it all seem to disappear and is no longer an issue so don’t freak out when you turn your monitor for the first time. One minor downside is text clarity (slightly worse than on my old 1440p IPS screen, but not terrible at all, I find it OK to use). HDR in games on WIN10 is completely broken, the screen looks washed out in this mode and you loose saturated colours and brightness for some reason. I haven’t found the game yet that would look better in HDR than SDR. In fact SDR games now look almost like if they had HDR on this screen so I’m not really sure if I need it. There is no coming back to LCD after seeing this. You have to see it in person, pictures don’t do the justice.

This ASUS XG27AQDMG is the best 27″ 2K OLED Gaming monitor available on the market today!!!
The HDR contrast and OLED brightness levels are truly amazing!!
I have tried this monitor in both gaming (Hunt Showdown) and also watching HDR video/movie content on netflix etc… and the clarity and colours of the content are incredible.
I highly recommend this monitor if youre looking to replace an old 27″ IPS panel.
The other amazing features on this monitor is that it has 240hz refresh rates which is more than enough and also the 3rd generation WOLED GLOSSY panel. This is one of the few OLED monitors out that has a GLOSSY panel rather than the standard Matte panel.
Asus is a well trusted brand I have always used their gaming monitors!
