Came from using a 1080p 165Hz IPS monitor so this was a big jump in picture quality and performance while gaming. The build quality of this monitor is exceptional as well as the value for the price. I really like how the monitor can tilt all different ways and can be used horizontally.

I have calibrated this monitor based on several guides online and my personal preferences and installed a custom ICC profile from RTINGS. I am using the latest NVIDIA driver as of this writing (572.83) and am using the ASUS_XG27ACDNG_MCM102 firmware via a DisplayPort cable connection, on Windows 10, an RTX 4070 Ti paired with an i9 13900K and 32 gigs of RAM.
Every ultrawide monitor I tried looking at before I got this one was curved, and that’s not what I was looking for. I wanted to upgrade, so I went with the XG27ACDNG, which I thought was a great choice for the price. ($630 ATT)
Pros:
The blacks, dude, they look INSANE! When playing survival horror games, the dark environments suck you into a void, and light sources on the screen shine just the way they need to. While playing games, you may find yourself trying to keep light sources in view because of how dark things can get. Thankfully, there is Shadow Boost! It gives you various levels of brightness for when you really need it, and the best part is you can set it to one of the shortcut functions for quick access!
I love how responsive multiplayer games feel on this. Playing Battlefield 4 and World of Warcraft feels way smoother when I’m trying to move around.
If you’ve never tried an OLED monitor before, like me, going from LCD to OLED is an insane difference in picture quality!
Cons:
I had to jump through hoops to figure out how to set custom resolutions. I prefer using 27-inch monitors when I game with a 21:9 resolution. In the NVIDIA Control Panel, when the DSC Support function on the monitor is active, it grays out the customize option under the Change Resolution page and prevents you from creating custom resolutions. The only way I found around this is to disable DSC Support, create your custom monitor resolution, set it to 180Hz, and then change to that resolution. Then, enable DSC Support again, and you will have your custom resolution with the full 360Hz. Even though you may have created a custom resolution with 180Hz since you turned off DSC Support, it will be set back to 360Hz when DSC Support is re-enabled again.
One thing to note: If you restart your PC with DSC Support enabled, the custom resolution will be wiped, and you will have to recreate it. To avoid this issue, before you restart or turn off the monitor, disable DSC Support, then re-enable it when you’re back in Windows.
This is the only thing about this monitor that is preventing me from giving it a 5-star rating. If ASUS updates their firmware to fix the issue or at least offers a proper workaround, I will edit my score to reflect that change.

Great Colors on the monitor, felt amazing to look at, but had issues right after I unboxed it.
It had a few micro-dinks in the display, almost like someone poked needle-like holes in the top layer of the screen. I could see them in either bright or dark scenes or while browsing if I looked in that area, but I wouldn’t return the monitor after noticing these. The screen is very sensitive from what it seems, so I’m not surprised by this.
The next day I turned on the monitor and it flickered to a black screen for a second or two every minute. I am assuming it is a refresh rate issue after some troubleshooting, but I figured this monitor could handle 360hz with no problem at all. After not being able to solve the screen flickering, I decided to return it since it was unplayable.
I have had an ASUS 1080p 240hz for 4 years with no problems, but this monitor just had problems right out of the gate, just be wary.

I had the same monitor for about 11 years, which was also an Asus. It served me well for a long time and that’s why I chose the same brand. Switching to this monitor was night and day to say the least. It’s OLED, so what’s not to like? I’ll just mention a few of the things that won my heart.
-The colours are incredible right out of the box.
-A 4K/120Hz resolution is included by default, so you can enjoy games in better visual fidelity. This 4K mode also works in streaming applications, so that’s a plus. And all resolutions/modes are enabled on the PS5.
-Oled Care is wonderful and offers a wide range of customisations.
-The coating is supposedly “anti-glare” or something along those lines, but to me it is glossy, which I love.
-Finally, the monitor was REALLY well packed and secured in the box.
I rarely write reviews for products, but this monitor definitely deserves one, as well as my personal recommendation. I was on the fence about which monitor to get and I’m really glad I chose this one. I just hope it lasts as long as my last one did.

Amazing product. Has lasted me 3 years so far!

Best visuals I’ve ever seen, crisp graphics, incredible brightness and so smooth paired with a higher end GPU to push the full potential of the 360hz. My only gripe is that it should have come with a DisplayPort 2.1 cable instead of 1.4.

This monitor has no dead or stuck pixels and offers a wide range of color tuning options, which is a big plus. However, the main drawback for me is that it cannot run at 360Hz in 24.5-inch mode—only at 240Hz. I originally bought this monitor specifically for competitive FPS gaming at 24.5 inches, so this limitation is disappointing.
