These are excellent quality keyboard units that I have ever come across. From the quality faux leather feeling wrist rest, to the keys that are a pleasure to press, to the sleek design, and the slim lighter weight and backlight keyboard, the most ergonomic shape, these have satisfied me in almost all the ways that I would expect from a quality keyboard. So far it has worked flawlessly. It comes out of sleep graciously. The Wifi and BT connections are easy to perform (though they could have chosen an easier button combo for pairing). The buttons are clearly marked, and it has many of them. The color combination is easy to see for me. The keys sound soft and are easy on ears when you press them harder than normal. The only gripe I have with a lot of these keyboards is the missed opportunity of putting a ball mouse right in the center, where there is ample space to do so. It doesn’t have to be a big ball mouse. It could be a smaller ball mouse, to give an option of using one when you don’t feel like lugging a full mouse around. They could have even put a stick mouse, or even a touch pad area. Again these don’t have to be too big, and they would do the job well. It is sensitive and easy to setup. Below the keyboard, along with a slot for the wifi dongle, it has four legs at the bottom, not two only for the front, but two also for the back. This can add a higher level of balance for the keyboard if you so desire it. Overall, a higher level of quality than the other competitors in this space.

Yes, I am a Reviewer. And not everything gets 5 stars, etc.
I just started a full-time gig at home and saw this keyboard. The only CON for me was the layout being ergonomic. I have used ergonomic ones in the past, but never really felt it was an advantage.
However…
This keyboard? It’s a WOW factor. In my office, I have an amazing keyboard. In my office, I took this one for a spin.
Results?
Amazing! My trusted keyboard (that had been part of me ‘she-geekdom’ for years) has been replaced.
PROS:
– wireless
– battery longevity (so far)
– super comfortable
– sleek design
BUT what became a cool discovery for myself. I have a disability with my hand. Bad days, it hurts to use, for even simple tasks…
The ‘unboxing’ – which was an ‘oooh and ahhh’ moment, in itself.
My hand was having a pain-day.
It took me a bit to acclimate to an ergonomic keyboard layout. Once I did?
With the wristband cushioning and molding of the keyboard (it is a wave, as opposed to a curve). Acted almost therapeutic.
Instruction manual and cheat card, well thought out.
The design of the unit
– four feet (2 on top, 2 on the bottom) I have never seen before.
– there is a spot under the keyboard, to hold the USB dongle…. magnetic
– it comes with a silicone dust cover that does not impede the use of the keyboard, especially with backlighting
– those who like mechanical keyboards or weighted keys… even though the keys are low profile, it has a good weight. (I don’t know how to describe this without going techie)
If I could rate higher than 10/10? I would.

I received this item yesterday and am currently using it for work. I really enjoy this keyboard. The keys are nice and comfortable and the other functional keys are thought out and very useful. The keyboard came fully charged so that was also nice. I got the keyboard $30 off for amazon’s spring sale and that was super awesome as well. Definitely recommend this keyboard.

At the time of this review, the ergonomic EK01 Plus keyboard from ProtoArc was priced just under $90. In my opinion, it is the best model they offer. The build quality and plastics used are durable, and this version from their ergonomic keyboard line includes keyboard backlighting with full shine through keycaps, which is missing from most of their other offerings. Also in the box was a silicone keyboard membrane if you want to protect it from liquids. The included 2.4 GHz USB receiver or Bluetooth allows connection to your PC or Mac; you can sync three devices conveniently.
The keyboard has a fairly large footprint, in part to a non-removable integrated curved wristrest with memory foam and a synthetic leather texture. It is very comfortable to use once you adjust to the subtle curved and split keyframe design. In my opinion, the scooped design of the keycaps gives it a tactile feel. The key switches are also relatively quiet when used. This isn’t a mechanical keyboard, so if your goal is a quiet typing experience – you’ve found a great option.
While the extended keyboard design with the keypad takes up more desk workspace, the more natural position of my wrists, forearms and hands made for a very comfortable typing experience. I also appreciated the design choice to place the circular media controls in the curved/split area of the keyboard. I expect the built-in 2000mAh rechargeable battery will provide ample power for likely a week plus with backlighting on, however I haven’t tested it long enough to verify battery life. Charging is via the included USB-A to USB-C cable.
I believe this keyboard is good value given the ergonomic design, performance, feature set and perceived health benefits. A recommended buy if you’ve been considering an ergonomic-styled keyboard and mouse for your PC/Mac workspace.

Love it! Comfortable and quiet, love this included silicone molded key cover. Lays flat on keyboard.

I like the flatness and curvature of the keyboard. It was very easy to adapt to. The additional bonus to this keyboard is the ability to link to multiple computers. I have a work computer and personal computer and thanks to this keyboard, I have desktop space.

I type all day, every day, and i recently sprained my wrist. I heard about ergonomic keyboards and looked into them. I have no experience with others but this one is pretty great! The keys are nice (iykyk) and it took me next to no time to get used to the different hand placement. I’m going to buy a second one so I can have one at home and one at the office!

This keyboard is absolutely great for ergonomics. Its got some really fantastic features. I’m going to nitpick a bit but overall its a really great keyboard from a functional standpoint. Its got the usual ergonomic layout, which is great for your wrists. The buttons are responsive and have subtle wells in them which really increases comfort. I find that some similar ergonomic keyboards I’ve tried will make the tips of some of my finger hurt after a long time typing, but this one feels a lot gentler on my fingertips. The split spacebar also makes sure that its easy to press with either thumb and it will actually work, even if you only pushed it at one end.
Its got 3 levels of brightness which are easy to switch between. Just white though, no RGB lighting. Speaking of which, I’ve also not had any problems gaming on this keyboard, it works great, and I find some of the keys that usually give me trouble because of my small hands, like the shift and cntrl are actually a lot more comfortable. Its also got some really nice function keys, like one that instantly brings up the settings window or takes you to the login screen which is great for security.
The wrist rest is comfortable, soft enough. I don’t love the material, its that synthetic faux leather and I find for some reason it tends to make my hands sweat, I actually prefer the usual untextured synthetic rubbery stuff. Its mostly fine though, its got a very soft surface feel. One of the best features of this keyboard are the legs. Its got the usual 2 at the back, but its also got 2 more at the front, which is fantastic if you just want to add a tad of height without introducing any tilt.
Its got several wireless modes for connection, ironically it doesn’t work wired though. You can plug a USB C wire into it and plug it into your computer and it will charge, but it wont work. I’m not a huge fan of wireless stuff for my stationary desktop, since all it means is an extra charging headache. I ended up just keeping it wired to my computer for charging and using the wireless dongle at the same time, its a bit annoying though that it ends up using up 2 USB slots though when they could just have made it work wired.
Overall its a great keyboard with a ton of features that really add up to the comfort of the entire thing. Its just really great to reduce wrist pain if you spend a lot of time at the computer.

Talk about asmr. The buttons on this are so satisfying. Lol. It’s peppy as well. Zero lag with the comp. Very comfortable to use as well. The angle and shape of it allow for smooth typing with zero strain. I’m getting another for the gf.

Amazon Customer –
Excellent keyboard! Keys and wrist rest have a great feel to them, including the click of the keys…I was torn between ordering this keyboard or the Logitech one…and I am beyond pleased I picked this.

Amazon Vine Review – March 2025
Backlit, Rechargeable, Wireless, Bluetooth, Ergonomic, Full Size Split Keyboard with Cushioned Wrist Rest – Gray Ball – Model EK01 PLUS – by PROTOARC
This review may be longer than most. If you are genuinely interested in this product, please take the time to read it and indicate if you found it helpful.
MY STORY:
We all know what a standard or traditional computer keyboard looks like, but an ergonomic keyboard breaks the mould! Even if you’ve used an ergonomic keyboard before, this one is more innovative and user-friendly than any you may have encountered – I promise! I can admit that I previously owned a first-generation ergonomic keyboard. While it was a reasonable effort at the time, I eventually returned to using a traditional keyboard. However, I was thrilled when I discovered this new ergonomic keyboard. It stands out from all the rest. I believe that the split keyboard makes all the difference. My personal experience with it has been reassuring.
I have written this review within a limited timeframe based on my personal experience with the product. I objectively assess the positive and negative aspects to help you determine if this product is right for you.
This product became available on the Amazon Canada site in January 2025, and I requested it in late February 2025. I have been using it ever since.
NOTE: All measurements provided are my own. I have attempted to be as accurate as possible; however, they should be regarded as “approximate.”

The team at PROTOARC is deeply dedicated to their company and its unique identity, a pride reflected in every aspect of their work. This particular product, a testament to their dedication, was designed by a gentleman named Howard. Congratulations are for both him and the team supporting him. In contrast to many other companies that make contact information hard to find, PROTOARC has its details displayed in nearly every part of the box and its contents. They even include a sticker with their contact information for the underside of the keyboard.
Adjusting to the ergonomic keyboard and its layout may take some time, but stick with it. You can return it within 30 days if it’s not for you. PROTOARC covers you with a 2-year Premium Warranty, so keep your Amazon order details.
This keyboard can be used for three separate devices simultaneously. It has an optional background light with three adjustable brightness levels. The background lights turn themselves off after about 3 minutes of inactivity, yet they turn back on as soon as you hit any key. When not used for more than 60 minutes, the keyboard will automatically enter sleep mode and wake up by pressing any key.
The User Manual covers features such as a 2.4G USB connection and Bluetooth connection, how to switch device channels, a charging guide, multimedia function buttons for Windows, Android, iOS, and Mac OS, and the use of special characters.
One full charge of the keyboard takes 2 to 3 hours. You should use the USB-A port on your computer, not a fast-charge device. The battery capacity is 2000mAh.
The keyboard has an effective operating distance of 8m (26 ft) – really?
WHAT I THOUGHT OF THE PRODUCT
I found the setup quick and easy. The User Manual is friendly to use. It only took me a few days to become proficient in using this ergonomic keyboard. I can’t imagine going back to a traditional keyboard. This is fun to use.
I am very impressed with this new keyboard, so I have also purchased a PROTOARC wireless trackball mouse to accompany it.
I am pleased to offer this Backlit, Rechargeable, Wireless, Bluetooth, Ergonomic, Full-Size Split Keyboard with Cushioned Wrist Rest, Model EK01 PLUS—by PROTOARC, with a 5-star rating.
