I bought this keyboard this month to use for work and gaming. Really good, discrete sound (can bring it to the office), does not take too much space, and has an incredible feeling and sound to it. Really easy to type in the keyboard without making many errors, and I was able to adapt to it incredibly quickly. It also has an amazing creamy sound – as opposed to the clacky sound my old mechanical keyboard had – making it less annoying to type on it throughout my day. Overall recommend you buy it: cheaper than other options with an incredible quality without, no delay on the wireless system and matches exactly what I was looking for!

I bought the G515 TKL as part of a new build for Christmas ’24, due to price and availability. I own a G815 that I liked quite a bit, but it was past its prime. I wanted a completely new build so the 915 X was, for me, a good choice. With the constrained availability, the goal of a new G915 X was in jeopardy. I decided to take a chance on the G515, justifying it as something I could recycle for another computer in the house if I didn’t like it well enough and the 915 X was back in stock at a good price.
While I still have half an eye on the G915 X, I’m in no hurry to get it. The G515 has been a VERY pleasant surprise. In fact, after adjusting to the TKL format, I would keep this over my G815 when it was brand new. It’s short on ‘features’ (no 10-key pad, no roller for volume adjustment, no ‘G’ keys for programming specific actions) but I rarely used those extra features.
The WEIGHT of this little keyboard makes it a solid gaming companion that doesn’t fly around the desk. That weight, coupled with the keys/switches (I got the tactile) makes for a softer sounding (dampened) typing experience, which is helpful for our family room. The keys themselves are solid, and I like those better than the G815 as well.
I expected some compromises at the markedly lower price, even factoring out the 10-keys, etc. But, honestly, I really like this design and construction and wonder if this wouldn’t make a better G915/G815 if they adopted this design for those models. I can’t speak to the G915 X I don’t (yet?) own and haven’t handled in person; it’s allegedly a little more robust/thicker than the original G815/G915 models. However, compared to the G815 and its G915 (non-X) sibling, I like the G515 better than those aluminum-framed models.
The G515 feels like it has more heft-per-square inch, is better dampened from typing noise. The keycaps feel better and the switches as well, or is that just the keycaps providing that tactile feel? It has the base level of RGB that I find useful; you can use solid or movement, select RGB colors, and program individual keys to be specific colors: WASD, for example, shift bar, number keys, function keys, program any key to whatever color you want. The RGB basics are there and well-covered.
This is a great little keyboard that won me over. Maybe… but just maybe… and only if/when there’s a killer discount, I will get the G915 X I started out wanting. But that’s now reduced to a thought in the back of my mind and no longer a true want that I’m chasing after.

I haven’t had time to do pictures which is ok since this a personal review.
My son has been using the G915 TKL since release. The characters wore off the caps within probably 4 months and that was years ago. Over the past few years I have fallen deep into the custom keyboard market and built quite a number of boards. However during all that time and though 3 of my sons are using my boards, my oldest just wouldn’t give up that old G915 TKL until I handed him this a few days ago!
While there is no case like the recent 60% pro release it comes packaged well with everything you could need. The board nice and heavy as well!
What I like – The feel. While it would have been nice to have hotswap I have to say that the tactile switches are very nice and some of the best low profile switches I have used. That is based upon a couple of low profile boards I have that are hot swap and tried multiple switches.
The sound… it’s good, actually to me it great for a low profile board, one of the best I have heard if not the best. It has a a low thocky type sound or at least the closest you can get with a low profile board. It’s definitely not loud or clacky. It is just loud enough you can hear it if you aren’t wearing headphones.
The caps – finally PBT caps and they are decently thick which helps the sound and they shouldn’t wear out in a couple of months. They are also more of the normal low profile standard so you should be able to replace them.
Wireless works great and there are a good amount of customization with the Logitech G software. Personally I would prefer QMK/VIA but as a multi decade user of Logitech mice as are my sons, the software is installed already anyway.
Not sure what is going on recently with Logitech keyboard wise but this board is a winner, it’s great. This is the first Logitech board I’ve been able to fully recommend in some time. I’m very happy to say that not only do I recommend this board even at the current price, I would put this up against any low profile board currently on the market.

Great keyboard, probably one of my favorites of all time. I had their G915 for a while and while it was good, the abs caps caused them to become greasy when you used them and I wasn’t a fan of the volume roller and other buttons which served no purpose for me.
The G515 feels weighty, premium but minimalistic as it doesn’t have any media controls. Keys are factory lubed, snappy, and sound great out of the box, even better than some other enthusiast mechanical keyboards I’ve purchased. PBT caps are slightly textured and don’t pick up natural oils from your fingers, the wireless performance is flawless as to be expected from Logitech’s lightspeed technology that lets them dominate the gaming mouse market, it’s also the perfect size and includes the F-keys and navigation keys which are essential to my job.
The all plastic body may be a turnoff to some people but I find it to be a plus because typically aluminum cases or other metal get cold to the touch and can be uncomfortable in the winter or in an air conditioned room, especially if you make full use of the wireless capability and rest it on your lap like I do. The plastic doesn’t feel cheap, it’s super solid and feels dense.
Overall extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend this keyboard to anyone. I never leave Amazon reviews but I liked this keyboard that much that I went out of my way this time.
