UPDATE 27 Feb 2025 – MICROSOFT UTILITY DOESN’T RECOGNIZE THIS KEYBOARD.
Used the link Incase provided to (re)download the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center utility – this keyboard is NOT recognized by the utility, so IT IS NOT PROGRAMMABLE even though it is falsely advertised as having some programmable keys.
In response to the question “Does it come with utility software to configure the programmable keys (for example the 1 2 3 keys at the top left)?” Incase’s response was to provide a link on Microsoft’s website to the old Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center utility. Since Microsoft stopped making these keyboards years ago, they could remove access to that utility at any time and a key feature of this keyboard would be non-functional.
Incase should provide full support themselves, including all software utilities needed for full functionality, or explain clearly in their advertising that certain features are not properly supported.

If you want to buy one of these because you’re looking to replace an old Microsoft Natural keyboard, don’t do it. I’m still getting used to mine, so my opinion may change down the road.
There’s no way to lift the back of the keyboard. There’s a removable plastic piece that you can put under the front to elevate it, but nothing for the back. The curve of the front prevents you from just sticking something under the back to lift it.
Incase added a delete key in the function key row, directly above the backspace key, but didn’t include any gap between the number keys and the function keys. This won’t be a problem if you’re working at the end of a document, but when you’re working in the middle of a document, it’s very easy to backspace and delete at the same time.

Great to See This Keyboard Back on the Market
I purchased this keyboard I read a review about th programmable keys—I don’t see anything claiming that it has programmable keys, but it does have the shortcut keys that are identical the original Microsoft version that I have been using.
That said, I’m really happy to see this keyboard available again after Microsoft discontinued it. The design is comfortable, the layout is familiar, and the typing experience is just as good as I remember. If you were a fan of the original, this is a great replacement.
Glad to have this option again!

Very happy with this purchase. I have been using the Microsoft keyboard for over a decade, and was so disappointed that it was discontinued. This looks and feels the same. I recommend it to anyone that loves the previous Microsoft version.

I have an original Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard at my desk at work, and over the years I have grown quite accustomed to it. I know where the keys are, I know just how hard/light to push each key to where it’s going to register, I can switch to the 10-key without even looking, everything you’d expect from several years of daily use.
About a year and a half ago, I decided I wanted a second one to use at home for when I work from home. Unfortunately, that’s when I discovered that Microsoft discontinued their mice/keyboards, and I didn’t want to buy one from an auction site for $200+. I tried other brands both inexpensive and more expensive here on Amazon, and just couldn’t find one that hit that “Goldilocks” zone of being just right.
Thankfully, Incase stepped in and licensed the design from Microsoft, and started the production line back up. This keyboard feels almost exactly like my original Ergonomic Keyboard, just a little newer and a little less broken in, but that’s to be expected.
If you’ve ever used the Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard, you will feel absolutely right at home with this one. The button layout is exactly the same, and it is compatible with both PC and Mac (you’ll use the Windows key for the Command key if you hook it to a MacBook).
I have seen other reviews advise that the macro buttons do not work or have no way to program them. I personally have never used them, so it’s not a problem for me. But if you did/do use those for their intended purpose, I could easily see taking as many stars off as you need.
For me, this is exactly the keyboard I was hoping to have again. By far my most favorite keyboard ever, and I’m incredibly happy that I now have one at home and one at work, so I don’t have to awkwardly haul my keyboard around.
