Looks good, lots of handy little features:
– Wheel for adjusting/muting sound
– Fn key to lock the windows key, change brightness or access the desktop quickly
– The small screen is a plus, although very gimmicky.

I’m a mechanical keyboard hobbyist and for the price this one is definitely worth it. Sounds great, looks great ,works great. Connectivity is never an issue and both knobs feel heavy and function well. I love typing on it too. It’s very comfortable and fun. Sturdy and much better than what I wouldn’t have expected from RK in a good way.

The packaging was well-thought-out, including useful accessories like keycap removers, additional switches, a USB-C cable, and a USB dongle. The keyboard itself feels high-quality and sturdy, with a nice weight to it. After disassembling it, I confirmed there’s no added metal to artificially enhance the weight, which speaks to its authentic build quality.
Performance & Features
The included cream switches are smooth, linear-activated, and comparable to MX Reds, providing a comfortable typing experience. Since the M87 is hot-swappable, I replaced the stock switches with MX Blues for that satisfying clicky feedback.
Battery life is solid—about two weeks on a full charge using the wireless dongle. Connectivity is a strong point, with tri-mode options: 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and USB-C wired. Switching between these modes is seamless. The RGB backlighting looks vibrant and pairs nicely with the keyboard’s color scheme.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I’d rate the RK M87 4.5 out of 5. It’s a high-quality keyboard with great features and versatility. The only area for improvement would be extending the battery life to about a month per charge for even more convenience. Otherwise, it’s an excellent choice for anyone seeking a solid, customizable mechanical keyboard.

The ok stuff
Despite its great quality it is not quite as polished as some main brands. You are able to control most things through the keyboard interface itself, but you will probably need the software if you want to dive in. Getting the software felt a bit dodgy. There is specific software for each model so you had to really search for the right one. The software itself is fine. It functions. It has the parts you need. It just feels a bit clunky.
Battery life
Again. It’s fine. I am recharging at least once per week. Half the time I just leave it in usb mode rather than wireless to avoid the hassle.
Overall, nothing bad and lots of good/ great! Would definitely buy again.

Ein gutes Keyboard, besonders für den Preis. Super Tippgefühl, guter Klang, sieht gut aus. Ich kann keine Probleme festellen; man muss keine 200€ ausgeben, um ein konfigurierbares Keyboard zu bekommen. Über die Software kann man die Beleuchtung umstellen und Tasten umdefinieren, sogar eigene Macros festlegen. Was will man mehr?
Meckern kann ich nur im Detail: Man merkt schon, dass die Lokalisierung der Software nicht optimal ist. Man kann zwar Tasten umdefinieren, und jeder Taste über das fn-layer eine weitere Funktion zuweisen oder ein Macro, aber erweiterte Tasten (wie zum Beispiel F13-F24) werden nicht unterstützt. In der Software werden auch die deutschen Umlaute nicht korrekt angezeigt – sie funktionieren aber!
Der Bildschirm ist eine nette Spielerei, aber nicht nötig. Dass man hier ein eigene Bild, sogar ein animiertes gif hinterlegen kann ist nett.
Besser als eine schlecht lokalisierte Software wäre die Unterstützung von VIA/QMK gewesen, aber für den Preis kann man kaum meckern.

好みはあると思いますが、HHKBなどの打鍵音が好きな方にはおすすめできます。

Honestly this is such a well built keyboard. I’ve long searched for one to match my IronMan mouse. And this ticks all the boxes. The keys feel great, and make a very nostalgic sound. The different methods to connect make it even better. There’s Bluetooth, usb-c, wireless rf with the adapter. You can change the colours of the backlight, with multiple different colours and themes. The on screen display for the keyboard provides all the information you need. Battery life was about 2 weeks with continuous use at work. Honestly I have zero complaints. You can feel the quality as soon as you unbox it!

The layout is perfect. The keys physical and sound response is amazing! It brings me right back to the 80’s and 90’s with the PCs of my younger years of programming! Amazing how many of us left this style keyboard in trade from slim silent keyboards. Now I literally enjoy every letter I type again. Thank you so much for a perfect design and build. It’s a work of art and engineering. Hand’s down, one of the best self-gifts to date. lol.

I bought this on a whim despite not really needing a new keyboard, but I am so glad I did! This keyboard gives good feeling key presses while being pretty quiet. I know now what “creamy” means when talking about keyboards. I especially love the settings knob that allows me to switch between my multiple computers and devices with ease. No more kvm switches for me! I can also use this while on calls and not worry about the loud mechanical sounds, but still have some mechanical feel. Overall a great product and seems sturdy and like it will last a long time.

Five Stars all the way. Quiet keyboard with slight sound when the keys bottom out, no click. This feels way more solid than the Huntsman V2 and V3 that I have. The keys feel nicer, very happy with it. Nice metal volume knob in a good location. I do a lot of typing, coding, so I need something that’s not too loud when I’m on a call. I swapped out the huntsman V3 to another PC and am using the Kludge instead now because it’s better for what I’m doing. At 70 bucks versus spending 120 or 170 on a keyboard, the Kludge is a clear winner. I’m going to buy a second one.

I purchased this keyboard because it looked nice and the reviews for the most part had been great. I loved the feel of the keys ( even though I added my keycaps ) and all of the features that came with the knobs were FANTASTIC. However, today it was showing the charge to be 0% even though it is always hard-wired to my desktop. It won’t work and keeps showing the LED with 0% charge. It makes me sad and I suppose I’ll have to look for a different keyboard.
